These words spoken from Jesus to his disciples in the Book of John really cut into my heart this morning. Considering it is June, the text may very well line up pretty close to the seasons we are in right now: late spring as well as how 2024 is going (difficult for most trying to Do Good). Jesus uses parables to highlight our missions requirement to save souls on Earth, as it compares to sowers and reapers (workers and consumers). Especially today, we have few laborers and many who will simply not labor! Love your neighbor as your own!! Jesus tells us there are fields of souls ready to be saved. Souls are ripe for the picking, and considering how much evil is exposed right now, how much corruption is being placed into the light, we are being called upon to take action, each one of us in different ways! A true ecclesia church never looks up or down on someone, from the highest position down to the lowest position, every person is respected and treated with the same respect that you might give Jesus Christ if he was standing in the physical next to you! Seek those places out.
Jesus is eternal and lives and breathes new life into each of us as we go through this spiritual journey known as LIFE! May we break bread one day and rejoice that our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, saved our souls, and that we continue to do His good works on Earth to save more souls!
Hallelujah!
Amen 🙏🏻 🕊️
John 4:31-38 NKJV
31 In the meantime His disciples urged Him, saying, “Rabbi, eat.”
32 But He said to them, “I have food to eat of which you do not know.”
33 Therefore the disciples said to one another, “Has anyone brought Him anything to eat?”
34 Jesus said to them, “My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me, and to finish His work.
35 Do you not say, ‘There are still four months and then comes the harvest’? Behold, I say to you, lift up your eyes and look at the fields, for they are already white for harvest!
36 And he who reaps receives wages, and gathers fruit for eternal life, that both he who sows and he who reaps may rejoice together.
37 For in this the saying is true: ‘One sows and another reaps.’
38 I sent you to reap that for which you have not labored; others have labored, and you have entered into their labors.”
